Yogyakarta also has several special areas for pedestrian tourism. The arrangement of tourist areas specifically for pedestrians began on Malioboro Street from 2016 to 2018, then continued with the arrangement of special pedestrian areas around Kotabaru and Jalan Jenderal Sudirman from 2019 to 2021
